I should be doing dishes, studying for coaching, or re-certifying for coaching......so I decided to blog. It seemed like a good idea! Sometimes I have to cut myself a little slack to sit and do "nothing". For some people that's TV watching, for me I guess it's blogging or reading a book.
My coworker has a great analogy for what it feels like when she walks into work.
"My life is calm and then I come to work and it's like I get put into a blender for the day, then I go home."
That is how I am starting to feel some days, from the time that I get up until the time that I go to bed. I literally can't keep my schedule straight in my head some days! I think I am adjusting to a new schedule, and a new normal now that I have started coaching figure skating. It's kicking my butt a little bit right now though! When I leave in the morning I have my work bag and my skate bag and my schedule of students has to be in my head! At the same time I am thinking I only added one thing to my schedule....handle it! haha I absolutely LOVE it though!
I think I am going to have to start bringing my big calendar book with me on my full days!
How do you keep up with your schedule?
Ciao,
Rachel
Heh, it's hard for me to keep to my own personal schedules; half the time I end up doing something different. But the good thing is I can keep a work schedule.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are really loving what you do now. It sounds like so much fun. I think I told you that I wanted to be an ice skater -well, in my dreams, because even though I've gone ice skating before, I am not great at it. But that goes without saying. -Jess L
Ha, ha, ha, that's a hilarious analogy!!! So true some days!!! That's where and when it is really important that we know how to make ourselves relax and take a break. Blogging can be a great outlet and it feels really good to post. i've been so bad about it lately though. Oh well, I try! =) Can't wait to see you oh so soon. Guess I should probably find out when your flight comes in =)
