As time goes on

I know I'm not actually "old" per say but life is changing, sadly my youthful feeling body is changing, slowly. It's hard for me to take it, to say the least.

- I no longer force myself to workout in the mornings. It hurts too bad. I basically can't bend my back without it feeling like it's going to snap in two. So, I wait until later in the day when I'm more loosened up. Instead of my morning workout I avoid reality as long as possible by reading! I love it!

- I am thinking I shouldn't jump anymore with my figure skating:( My hips just can't take it anymore! I might actually cry the next time I skate when this becomes reality. It's going to be hard, I'll probably do my easy jumps.....? I will I know myself, I won't be able to stop myself haha! Oh my gosh I just talked myself into still jumping! I'm terrible! Ice Dancing here I come!

- I no longer wash my hair every day. I have too much of it, it takes too long to dry and uses way too much product. It goes in a ponytail at work anyway. Don't worry I still shower because I sweat like a crazy person!

- I drink coffee now. My Mother hates this. I only have it two to three times a week though.

- I use a calendar now too. I can no longer keep all my schedules in my head. And I still mess up my schedule sometimes.

- I love going to bed early. Yeah who am I trying to kid? I've always liked that:) I never went through a "party phase".

Happy Thursday, I wish it were Friday:) I'm off to visit my best friend in Chicago on Saturday!!!! I'm really excited;)

What are some things that have changed in your life as you've aged?

Ciao,
Rachel

  1. Hah! How old are you? You have a very similar sounding problem to my husband's and brother in laws. Both have scoliosis; my brother-in-law's scoliosis isn't even noticeable. I would never have known had he not told me. He says that his back hurts in the mornings really bad and then as the day progresses it feels much better. My husband's back will randomly start hurting every now and then.

I don't wash my hair every day either. Everyone, including hair stylists, has told me not to. I have very dry, frizzy, curly hair, which is why. I also go to bed earlier than most. sometimes 10 or 1030? I need my sleep. Pretty soon my sleep is going to suck! Plus, I would like for my skin and appetite to be under control as much as possible.

I've always drank too much coffee. I'm down to 3 cups a day. It could be worse. =) -Jess L

  2. Girl! You aren't old!

    1. I always have drank coffee. It's delicious.
    2. I now go to bed early but that happened once I got married.
    3. I bet you can still jump with your ice skating. Your mind is 1/2 the battle
