Roma Day {5} Venice

It was Thanksgiving day back in America, and it was probably the only day that I actually missed my family. Venice was so unique, I have never been anywhere in my life where cars don't exist! (Then again I haven't traveled to many places, this was my first trip out of the country!) You only go by foot bike or boat! It was an incredible experience! The streets were so quaint and full of character, people walked around with their dogs off the leash in and out of shops, they all seemed so care free and timeless. A far cry from what I am used to! The bakery shops and breads were to die for! I want another piece of their ciabatta bread! And the hot wine oh. my. gosh. AMAZING! I want to re-create it so bad!

As always I took way too many picture:)

I hope you are all having a lovely Friday! I know I am so glad it's Friday, it has felt like a long week!

Ciao,
Rachel

Roma Day {4} Wednesday morning audience.

This was probably the number one highlight of our time in Roma. We were able to attened the Wednesday morning audience with the Pope! Pope Frances is totally and completely the peoples Pope. He is so pernable down to earth and loving! It was incredible to experience this first hand!

Freezing our buns off while waiting for Pope Frances to arrive!
I definitely didn't dress warm enough that morning! It was so worth it though!

I could feel my chest well with joy being in is presence! It is a moment I will never forget!

The rest of our day was spent looking at many more Churches and walking through beautiful gardens!
More pastries!
This was the cutest little pastry shop under a building. You went right down the stairs from the sidewalk!

I hope that you are all having a wonderful week!
Ciao,
Rachel

Roma day {3}

It was a beautiful morning

for some amazing cappuccinos at an adorable coffee house!

Victor Emmanuel. I still remember coming around the corner and not expecting to see this! I think my jaw dropped! It was huge and beautiful!
My camera always in hand! I was rediculous! For every one of these pictures there are at least ten more! haha

I'm going back some day:)
Just a little midnight snack and some wine before we headed back for the night!
This is where I would fill up my water bottle every night on our walk back to the hostel!

Ciao,
I hope you are having a great week!
