It's been two years already! How does time go by so fast? I guess I'm just having too much fun! Two years that is since I have been in the great ol town of Mankato working as an Echocardiographer (A big word for Ultra Sound of the heart). Okay I know two years really isn't that long! But... I have learnt a whole lot in that time and have come a long way! From the first year of hardly being able to sleep at night, because I kept going over the day thinking about all the things that I should have done differently or could have done better. It's true I'm type A, perfectionist! I am getting better at dealing with the stress though, like lots of running:) I have gained a wealth of information about my profession that I believe could only be learnt through experience. And still learning, every single day!
I have a tendency to only focus on what I want to achieve and how much I have yet to learn, and I'm always in a hurry to get there. That's why I love the quote above, it's the journey not the destination, so what's my rush all about?! No idea!
Working in healthcare I have really come to learn on a much deeper level;
To never take life for granted. You never know what breath will be your last, no matter your health or age! Life is beautiful, cherish and respect it.
Happy Friday and have a fabulous weekend!
