Reading: Mostly C.S. Lewis' Screwtape letters along with my daily spiritual reading.
Writing: A few reflective posts lately. I have been thinking about my life and my Faith, and every time I sit down to write a post that is all I could write. Trying to write grocery lists because I am sick of forgetting things at the grocery store. Guess what? I still forget things, that I forgot to put on my list.... ha ha!
Sipping: Cold chai tea.
Cooking: Meatballs in vodka sauce, once again by Fr. Leo! I have to do a post on this awesome priest who is a chef!
Listening: To the crackle of the fire!
Thinking: and realizing that chasing different goals and accomplishments, for the sake of completion, is not going to make me happy in life. I already knew this but clearly you sometimes need to re-learn these things, at a different level with each stage of life....?
Wishing: I could go on a trip! Seriously I want to travel! Anywhere really, like I said here:)
Hoping: For a productive week ahead!
Loving: My piano:) Yes I am still loving it and I can't wait to start playing some "real" music instead of all Church music! And the fact that I was able to enjoy the last of the snow by cross country skiing yesterday!
Wanting: Some cute spring dresses!!!! I cannot wait for my shopping day with my sister and niece!
Excited for: Spring! Running and biking outside again! Easter, Holy Saturday Mass, and cake!!!!
Needing: Friends who don't live over an hour away! Seriously how did this happen! ha ha I love them to pieces though and it's always worth the drive:)
Feeling: Calm, and trusting that I am exactly where God wants me to be! It's the best feeling in the world, when you finally let go and let God! Why is it so hard?

I'm with you on wanting some spring dresses. We've had some sneak peeks at warm spring weather in DC, and it makes me want to have picnics with friends and wear pretty sundresses! I'll need to start looking around so that I can stock up for the right moment. :) Happy Sunday!

I love vodka sauce!!!! You may have to start sharing some of these amazing recipes we keep hearing about =) And I know what you mean about wanting to take a trip...I want to just go. It doesn't matter where, just so long as it is warm and involves either a long road trip or a plane ticket!!!
ReplyDeletei want to travel, too! and good thing, because i have a 15-hour road trip ahead of me in a couple weeks: i'm driving to my hometown for a month! i'm excited, but slightly nervous about driving that far by myself, even though i've done it before.
