Skate America!

It has begun! I am so excited! The figure skating season!!!!:) AKA it's on TV there is really no off season in figure skating. The first competition of the grande prix series was this past Sunday with Skate America! I had to watch it online because I wasn't home on Sunday. My favorites were.... 

Kaitlyn Weaver/Andrew Poje (Canada) - ice dancing 

They were beautiful. There theme to there free dance was a statue come to life. From the costumes to the choreography it was exquisite. Unfortunately though they need to up there technical component. They took third. And of course Meryl Davis/ Charlie White (USA) were magnificent first place!

I would have to say that my favorite performance from the whole event was.....

Yuzuru Hanyu's (Japan) short program. So fluid and amazing! I did not like his free skate though. First of all his costume was pink way too glittery for a guy and way way too many ruffles. Okay there really weren't that many ruffles but.... one ruffle on a guy is too many. Also his performance and choreography were not as well put together as his short program.

Ashley Wagner's (USA) free skate was stunning too!

It almost makes me want to compete again....almost!
